Webinar On-Demand: Election Eve Webinar
Key Takeaways
The case for Trump: The Republican nominee is more trusted by voters in key swing states to handle the economy, which remains voters’ top issue, along with immigration and foreign policy, which have seen larger increases in importance for voters this cycle compared with 2022 than any other issue. He's also seen increased support among younger and nonwhite voters.
- The case for Harris: The vice president is more popular than Trump and has consistently generated more positive news coverage since becoming the nominee. She has also chipped away at Trump’s advantages on economic and security issues while providing a more favorable personal contrast with Trump than President Joe Biden on key characteristics such as mental fitness, honesty and trustworthiness and aptitude for strong leadership.
Whatever happens, voters are worried about what comes next: Almost 7 in 10 voters are worried about violent protests happening after the election. Even larger shares of the voting population are worried about misinformation spreading online.
