Understanding the AI Super User
Report summary
AI is game changing, and frequent AI users are a need-to-know audience.
It’s only been a few years since artificial intelligence chatbots exploded onto the market, and users have deployed them for everything from the mundane to the complex.
Morning Consult’s report, ”Understanding the AI Super User,” aims to answer two key questions: 1) Who are the people frequently using AI tools? 2) Are frequent AI users truly ahead of their peers? Our high frequency data reveals that AI super users are not just completing tasks faster or finding information easier, they’re also ahead of their peers personally and professionally.
Plus, we take a closer look at the ascendance of the most well-known AI tool: ChatGPT.
Key Takeaways
- AI super users are young: AI super users are 9 percentage points more likely to be Gen Zers and 14 points more likely to be millennials.
- They’re eyeing new jobs and optimistic about their finances: Nearly 3 in 10 (29%) AI super users say they are actively applying for new jobs, 7 points higher than U.S. adults. They’re also 19 points more likely than the average adult to say their personal finances are better now than a year ago.
- Social media, sports and beverage brands stand out: The No. 1 brand that stands out among AI super users’ favorites is Twitter. Meta and TikTok also make the list.
- ChatGPT is gaining momentum around the globe: More consumers are hearing about OpenAI’s chatbot, and while it has a strong young user base, there’s still room to grow with older consumers.
