People who follow journalists or news companies on social media, referred to as "News followers," are more likely than all adults to say they are environmentally conscious.

Specifically, 63% of News followers say they are more environmentally conscious than most people, compared to 52% of all respondents. This suggests that social media engagement with news sources might be associated with higher self-reported environmental consciousness.
